I\u2019m Christian Schenk, also known as Card-Shark<\/em>, and as a magician, graphic designer, and inventor, I\u2019m the mind behind the Phoenix Deck and all Card-Shark products. I started out with a clear vision: to make the lives of magicians easier through the development of the Phoenix Deck. <\/p>

Forget difficult sleights and complicated routines. Magic should amaze \u2013 and be fun, not just for the audience, but for the magician as well.
Over the past 20 years, working with top magicians and world champions, I\u2019ve learned an important lesson: mastering sleight of hand can be a beautiful but time-consuming hobby. In a great performance, the audience should never have a clue how<\/em> the magic happened. <\/p>

Since its release in 2009, the Phoenix Deck has become the go-to choice for professional and amateur magicians all over the world.<\/p>

Sure, there are plenty of playing cards out there \u2013 but only the Phoenix Deck was created from scratch with magicians in mind. Over the years, we\u2019ve continuously expanded the product line. Today, there\u2019s a wide range of gimmicks and specialty decks available in the Phoenix design. <\/p>

Many gimmicks by other manufacturers run into legal issues because of brand copyrights (like Bicycle, Tally Ho, or Mandolin). But since we developed Phoenix ourselves, we face no such limitations. If you can dream it, we can likely make it happen. <\/p>

We produce our cards through the United States Playing Card Company as well as a specialized print shop in Taiwan \u2013 run by a fellow magician and close friend. Over the years, we’ve collaborated with well-known manufacturers such as Cartamundi, ASS Altenburger, Piatnik, and Fournier. <\/p>

In recent years, the playing card industry has become heavily monopolized \u2013 in fact, there\u2019s really only one big player left. That\u2019s why we actively work with smaller manufacturers to maintain creative freedom for magicians. This is the only way we can continue producing custom gimmicks tailored to your needs. <\/p>
