Originally created in 1908 by Henry Hardin and produced by Theodore DeLand, the Monte Cristo Deck (also known as Peerless Monte-Cristo Cards) was advertised as “one of the card hits of the century” and “the closest approach to the supernatural ever discovered.”
It later inspired developments like the Telomatic Deck, the predecessor to the legendary Tossed Out Deck.
