The effect
You present several miniatures of world-famous paintings – including the iconic portrait of the Mona Lisa. Everything seems normal until you reveal that one of these masterpieces is a fake.
And indeed, the Mona Lisa suddenly holds a playing card in her hand – a card that wasn’t there before!
But that’s not all: when the back of the card is revealed, Mona Lisa suddenly appears from behind – and the painting is clearly fake.
In the final climax, you top off the effect: when Mona Lisa’s front is shown again, she has turned the playing card over. It is the playing card previously drawn by the spectator!

I watched Christian’s video “What is Science Friction”, this video gives a good demo and explanation of Mona Lisa in addition to some information on Science Friction. I loved watching the routine and when in the explanation he said “easiest double lift you have ever done in your life” with a demonstration, I was sold. My fingers are not very flexible for medical reasons so this smooth double lift is for me a God-send. Additionally the Mona Lisa is very classy and the cards show the masterpieces in all their glory, maybe not Son of Man! I now look forward to trying out other Science Friction treated routines.

Insgesamt eine recht einfache Durchführung des Kartentricks, welcher dann aber viele erstaunte Zuschauer zurück lässt 😉 . Eigentlich muss man lediglich eine Karte forcieren können, denn der Double-Lift ist aufgrund der präparierten Karte sehr einfach durchzuführen. Sehr empfehlenswert!!

„Mona Lisas Geheimnis“ ist für mich einer der stärksten Päckchentricks überhaupt. 🪄
Der Effekt ist direkt, mysteriös und sorgt jedes Mal für starke Reaktionen beim Publikum. Besonders schön ist, dass die Routine nicht nur wie ein Kartentrick wirkt, sondern eher wie eine kleine magische Geschichte mit Atmosphäre.
Die Zuschauer verfolgen alles ganz genau und trotzdem bleibt der Effekt am Ende vollkommen unmöglich. Genau diese Mischung aus Einfachheit und Wirkung macht den Trick so stark für echte Vorführungen.
